## Summary

Sheffield Hallam University has completed a tender process for the Hallam Alliance involving design-led multi-disciplinary consultancy, construction works, and hard facilities management services. The contracts pertain to the delivery of a 20-year Campus Plan, with an emphasis on the significant investment in maintaining the existing estate and developing new and refurbished buildings within Sheffield. Notably, the expected contracts are linked to an open procurement method and encompass various lots including consultancy services and construction works. The key dates include contract signings in November 2019 and March 2022, alongside the ongoing phases of the project.

This procurement process presents substantial opportunities for businesses, especially those in construction, architecture, and facilities management. Companies offering consultancy services in disciplines such as mechanical and civil engineering, as well as organisations with experience in large-scale construction projects, would be well-positioned to compete for future contracts. The emphasis on multi-party alliances suggests a collaborative approach, thus small to medium enterprises (SMEs) might find avenues to participate through subcontracting opportunities, particularly in conjunction with larger partners involved in the alliance.

## Notice

The delivery of a 20 year Campus Plan, Phase 1 and Phase 2 denote significant investment over the next 11 years in maintenance of the existing estate and the development of both new and refurbished buildings in the heart of the city. The University has created an alliance arrangement that includes the design led consultancy (Lot 1), construction works (Lot 2) and hard facilities management services (Lot 3) required to deliver the Campus Plan.
