## Summary

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority is planning a procurement process titled "Asbestos Innovation Partnership" in the decommissioning services industry. This procurement is set to span over approximately 8 + 1 + 1 years, commencing with a 12-month research and development phase followed by a four-year build and pilot operations phase, culminating in a one-year fully operational service. The total contract value is £80 million, with engagement events scheduled, notably on 18th May 2022, for interested suppliers. The procurement is based in the UK and aims to innovate treatment solutions for both radiologically-contaminated and non-contaminated asbestos.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for companies involved in construction, waste analysis, and technology development, particularly those specialising in innovative environmental solutions. Firms that have experience in research and development services, as well as those capable of delivering operational services for asbestos management, will find this opportunity advantageous.
