Only two bids were received, neither of which were suitable, by the closing date of 28.02.2022. Due to the extreme and continuing market volatility, suppliers are unwilling to enter into contracts for the foreseeable future. Under the Energy Act (Northern Ireland) 2011, the incumbent suppliers will continue to supply gas to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council under a Deemed Contract.
