## Summary

The Department for Transport (DfT) is conducting a public procurement process for the Aviation Security Training Engagement & Mentoring (ASTEM) Framework, a tender in the Transport Services sector. This procurement is classified under CPV code 60000000 and aims to enhance aviation security standards overseas. The procurement method is an open procedure, with the tender currently in the Award stage. Bids were accepted until 6 June 2022, and the framework will last until 10 July 2026, with a total contract value of £5,000,000.

This opportunity presents significant growth potential for training providers and consultants specialising in aviation security, particularly those with experience in delivering bespoke training solutions and mentoring services. Companies adept at international delivery or virtual training could find themselves well-positioned to secure contracts under this framework, as services are required in various host countries. Engaging in this framework could enhance service portfolios and increase market presence in the aviation security sector.

## Notice

The overarching aim of this framework is to support Government in improving aviation security standards overseas. In doing this, suppliers will be expected to deliver a professional and knowledgeable training service. Suppliers on this framework will be expected to deliver a variety of aviation security training courses, mentoring or strategic development events to countries identified by the DfT. Training courses, mentoring and strategic development events should ideally be delivered face to face in the hosts country, but suppliers should be willing and able to facilitate delivering such in the UK or remotely, for instance by Virtual Tele-Conferencing.
