## Summary

The Hertfordshire County Council is initiating a Pre-Procurement Market Engagement (PPME) for the provision of COVID-19 Outbreak Testing. This procurement falls under the health and social work services category, with a planned status. Interested organisations are required to submit their completed Supplier Questionnaire through the In-Tend system by the deadline of 12:00 Noon on 27th May 2022. The engagement process is set in Hertford, UK, and aims to gather feedback to inform potential future procurement decisions, although it is not a commitment to formal procurement at this stage.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those with expertise in COVID-19 testing and outbreak management. Companies involved in public health services, laboratories, and testing facilities would be well-positioned to respond to this pre-procurement phase. Participation can enhance visibility into future procurement scenarios and enable firms to align their capabilities with the needs of the Hertfordshire County Council, ultimately contributing to business growth in the public sector.

## Notice

The Council is carrying out PPME for the aforementioned. The Council will consider the feedback received to help inform the Council's options and further decision making. For the avoidance of doubt, this stage of the project is not part of a formal procurement process and the Council is not committing, at this stage, to carrying out such a process. Participation or non-participation in the pre-procurement market engagement shall not prevent any supplier participating in a potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of the PPME shall place any supplier at an advantage in a potential procurement process. Participation in the PPME will be at each organisation's own cost. No expense in responding to this PPME will be reimbursed by the Council. Further information can be found within the attached documentation. You are invited to submit a completed questionnaire by 12 noon on 27th May 2022
