Lot 1

Due to termination of services of an existing supplier the Metropolitan Police Service (on behalf of the contracting authority, MOPAC) have conducted a Negotiated Procedure without prior publication to the supplier, Halfords Ltd. The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) have placed an award of contract with Halfords Ltd for a duration of 12 months and a contract value of PS175,000. Services delivered by Halfords will include servicing and maintenance of existing MPS cycles and e.bikes. The contract is an interim solution.

Options: The MPS may extend the agreement under PCR 2015 regulation should there be a delay in award of contract (future award).

### Procurement Information

Due to an administrator being appointed to the now terminated supplier the MPS were required to ensure a continuation of services for officers and staff in all policing matters that involved cycles. MPS cycles must operate safely in all policing activities. Halfords Ltd shall support the MPS with a mobile servicing and maintenance plan for a duration of up to 12 months.
