The General Teaching Council Northern Ireland have a contract with Miller Technology limited for the support and maintenance of the registration database.

Options: The Contract commenced in October 2004 for 3 years, with extensions until Sept 2011, then December 2012, then March 2015 with a derogation to January 2016. A number of DACs were awarded to extend the contract further in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019, extending the contract to 31 March 2022.

### Procurement Information

To ensure continuity of service to the General Teaching Council Northern Ireland for their critical business functions whilst the requirement is retendered, it is permissible to rely on regulation 72(1)(c) -The need for the change could not have been foreseen by a "diligent" Department provided the changes do not affect the overall nature of the contract or exceed 50% of the value of the original contract value.
