## Summary

The procurement process for the "APMS Temporary Caretaking Arrangements for Meir Park and Weston Coyney GP Medical Services," initiated by NHS Stoke-on-Trent Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), relates to services in the healthcare industry. This procurement process, now complete, followed a tender method and primarily aimed at ensuring the provision of general practitioner services. The contract was awarded to North Staffordshire GP Federation Limited, and it is believed to cover a contract value of approximately £1,374,000. Key dates include the contract signing on 6th June 2022, with the previous caretaker contract concluding on 25th July 2022. The services will continue to be delivered at two locations in Stoke-on-Trent: Meir Park and Weston Coyney Medical Practice.

This opportunity is particularly relevant for businesses in the healthcare and medical services sector, especially those with capabilities in general practitioner services or caretaking arrangements. Given the direct award process via the Pseudo' Dynamic Purchasing System (PDPS), established suppliers already on the framework are in a favourable position to continue or extend their service agreements. Engaging in this tender can help businesses expand their service delivery while ensuring continuity of care for a significant patient list, thereby contributing to their growth strategy in the public health sector.

## Notice

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The CCG are undertaking a direct award via the Pseudo' Dynamic Purchasing System (PDPS) for APMS contracts: GP services and caretaking services PRJ837 framework (Lot 2). The current provider of the caretaker arrangements for Meir Park and Weston Coyney are on the PDPS as a pre-approved provider and are eligible to hold a contract for GP services and caretaking arrangements. The current APMS contract is in place until 25th July 2022 and this contract will follow immediately afterwards. The decision to direct award to the existing caretaker is to ensure continuity of care for patients and staff whilst the future of a permanent solution for the practice remains unconcluded. If the CCG is in a position for a permanent solution to be concluded within the 18 months time period, there is a 3 months' notice that can be served.
