The Council wishes to work in partnership with a supplier/s, who can demonstrate and maintain quality standards in line with the Council's Service Specification. Service Providers are required to deliver services which focus on the health, safety, enablement, progression and wellbeing of people who require such services. Through the supply and maintenance of equipment they will enable people to gain, maintain or regain skills to help them to live independently and recover from illness. The service, wherever possible, supports people to prevent unnecessary admission to hospital and residential care. The service should also support people to be discharged from hospital or move out of long or short term, building based care. Suppliers can bid for both lots 1 & 2 or separately if required. The Council is seeking to appoint Provider/s to deliver: Lot 1 - New Ceiling Track Hoists Lot 2 - Servicing, Maintenance and Removal of Ceiling Track Hoists, Vertical Lifts, Stairlifts and Steplifts and the Refurbishment, Re-Siting and Storage of; Ceiling Track Hoists and Straight Track Stairlifts. This Lot refers to Service Users existing equipment, no longer under warranty, some of which will have been installed prior to 1st June 2017. The Council is committed to the delivery of high-quality services for residents of Leicestershire. The Council wishes to work in partnership with (Service Provider/s), who can demonstrate and maintain quality standards in line with the Council's Service Specification (Specification), The primary purpose of the service is to promote and support people's independence to enable them to live as independently as possible in the community, facilitating safe and timely discharge from hospital and reducing the need to move into long term residential or nursing care homes. The Services and further detailed outcomes required under this contract, are described in more detail in Document 2: Service Specification.
