## Summary

The procurement process initiated by Health Education England involves a tender titled "Development of Acute Liaison Role", classified under the category of education and training services. This contract, valued at £150,000, is located in Leeds, UK, and currently stands at the Tender stage of procurement. The submission window is open until 12th July 2022, with contracts expected to commence on 1st September 2022 and run until 31st August 2024, ensuring consistent implementation of liaison services across England.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in the development of training packages and toolkits, particularly those with experience in health services for learning disabilities and autism. Companies that can demonstrate expertise in best practice case studies and the co-production of training materials with service users will be well-positioned to compete. Additionally, organisations involved in the health sector and those focused on educational resources may find significant potential for growth through participation in this tender.

## Notice

The scope of this contract will be to develop a toolkit and a training package which together will ensure that there is a national consistency of approach to the implementation of liaison services across England.

This toolkit should also contain evidence of best practice examples showing case studies of the role and the outcomes for people with learning disabilities and their families.

Furthermore, we would expect this work to complement the associated tender to commission the 'Green Light Toolkit' Initiative.

The toolkit and training package should be linked to the nearly completed work by the Tavistock and Portman National Workforce Skills Development Unit (NWSDU) to create nationally consistent training for nurses and nursing associates working in this area of learning disability and autism.

Service users must be involved in the coproduction of all components of this work.
