The community connectors will take a community centred, (i.e. Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) or similar) approach to build confident and connected communities with the aims of reducing isolation and loneliness, improving physical and mental health and reducing health inequalities. It is anticipated that tenders for the Community Connectors Service will be sought in July/August 2022 to enable new contract(s) to begin from January 2023. As part of the commissioning process for the Community Connectors Service, the Commissioners of this service are hosting an Online Market Engagement Event. The Online Market Engagement Event is being held on Friday 24th June 2022 commencing at 11.00 a.m. and is anticipated to end at 1.00 p.m. The event will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams. The event will give potential providers and other stakeholders the opportunity to express their interests and feed in their views about the potential service. The Commissioners will use the information to appraise options and further develop the specification.
