## Summary

The Ministry of Defence is planning a tender titled "UAS Heavy Lift Challenge [UASHLC]" focused on military research and technology services. The procurement process is currently in the planning stage and is set to engage potential bidders on the 5th of July 2022 during an Industry Engagement Day at i-Aero in Yeovil, UK. Interested parties must confirm their attendance by 12:00 on the 1st of July 2022, and should demonstrate systems capable of specific payload lifts before the event. The acceleration programme for this initiative is anticipated to commence in August 2022.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses engaged in the field of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and military technologies, specifically those capable of achieving the defined payload specifications. Companies with advanced capabilities in drone technology or those looking to explore defence service contracts will find this procurement particularly relevant. Participation in the Industry Engagement Day will enable businesses to network, understand the commercial framework, and potentially secure funding for their projects in the upcoming phase of the Heavy Lift Challenge.
