## Summary

Newcastle University is currently conducting a tender process for the supply of a Learning Analytics System, aimed at enhancing the educational experience for approximately 28,000 students and 6,000 staff members. This procurement falls under the goods category within the software package and information systems industry. The tender is at the active stage with a deadline for expressions of interest set for 1st August 2022 at 16:00 BST. The selected system is intended to provide valuable insights into students' learning interactions and academic progress, with a pilot phase commencing prior to a wider rollout expected by November 2023.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in educational software solutions, particularly those that offer off-the-shelf products already operational in comparable educational institutions. Companies that can demonstrate an ability to provide a user-friendly and visually intuitive system, capable of integration with existing platforms and offering data integrity, will be well-positioned to compete. Notably, the tender specifies that bespoke solutions will not be considered, focusing instead on established products that meet the defined technical requirements.
