## Summary

The Great Western Railway (GWR) is initiating a market engagement exercise titled "Market Engagement Notice - Development of GWR's Future Fleet and Depot Proposal". This project is centred on the railway transport services industry, specifically aimed at decarbonising GWR's fleet and improving service alignment with future customer needs. Interested parties are invited to participate in discussions surrounding this proposal, which is in the planning stage and is set to conclude on 8th August 2022. The next significant date to note is a future notice scheduled for 26th September 2024, which may indicate further developments in the procurement process.

This engagement presents a unique opportunity for businesses involved in the supply of rolling stock and associated infrastructure, particularly those with innovative solutions for transitioning to cleaner energy sources, such as battery charging systems and alternative energy supply methods. Companies capable of demonstrating their ability to meet GWR's requirements and optimise efficiency in this exercise will have the chance to contribute to the development of future procurement strategies. Interested businesses are encouraged to register via GWR's dedicated link to remain informed about upcoming events and discussions.
