## Summary

The Ministry of Defence is in the planning stage of a procurement process for the Defence Simulation Centre Catalogue (DSCC), with an estimated budget of £6 million. This tender falls under the services category, specifically focused on cataloguing services within the defence sector. A Market Interest Day is scheduled for September 2022 to engage potential suppliers, with a future notice expected by November 1, 2022. The delivery is anticipated to take place in the UK, although specific locations have not yet been determined.

This tender represents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in modelling and simulation resources, data management, software services, and related consulting expertise. Companies capable of facilitating interoperability among defence systems and those experienced in providing support for government agencies will be well-positioned to compete. Participating in the Market Interest Day offers a platform for suppliers to discuss requirements and shape the procurement process, potentially leading to fruitful contracts within the defence sector.

## Notice

The Catalogue, as a Registry, provides the ability to readily identify suitable and available Modelling & Simulation (M&S) resources, that also enables/facilitates delivery (where applicable). The Catalogue must be able to connect and interface with similar systems as developed by Other Governmental Departments (OGDs) and Allies to enable wider sharing of resources.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The Authority is seeking to notify the market of a potential procurement for a Defence Simulation Enablers (DSEn) Programme, which will provide Defence wide access to common Modelling & Simulation (M&S) resources, across all its applications, through a Defence Simulation Centre (DSC) to support coherence and enable reuse, interoperability, and Value for Money across the Defence Enterprise. A key element of the DSEn Programme will be a Defence Simulation Centre Catalogue (DSCC). The DSCC provides the ability to readily identify suitable and available M&S resources, that also enables/facilitates delivery (where applicable). The Catalogue must be able to connect and interact with similar systems as developed by Other Government Departments (OGDs) and Allies to enable wider sharing of resources. The system must be able to export data in several formats as listed in Def-Stan 03-50. Resources to include (but not limited to): data, models, terrains, subject matter experts (SMEs), standards, processes, services, software, and reference material. Please note that a Market Interest Day is expected to be held in September 2022 and followed by a Request for Information (RFI) associated with the potential DSCC procurement on Defence Sourcing Portal. The Authority encourages industry input to the RFI allowing the development of a robust requirement. Additional information: A Market Interest Day will be held at Tech UK head office in London early September 2022. On the day there will be a chance to discuss the requirement further and answer any questions Industry may have.
