## Summary

The Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council is conducting a tender for the "Walsall Early Help Community Activities Reducing Exploitation Project" aimed at providing short break opportunities for vulnerable young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This procurement process falls under the services category in social work and related services, with an active status and awarded contracts worth £600,000 each for the South and Central Locality and West Locality areas. The procurement method employed is a limited procedure, specifically a negotiated procedure without prior publication, due to previous unsuccessful attempts to award contracts through an open procedure. Key dates include contract awards, which took place on 1st July 2022 and 13th July 2022, respectively.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses focused on social care and community services, particularly those with expertise in supporting youth with disabilities and at risk of exploitation. Companies operating in the community services sector, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), would be particularly well-suited to compete for these contracts. Engaging in this project not only enhances service provision in the local community but also allows businesses to expand their operations and establish partnerships within the public sector.
