## Summary

The procurement process involves Buckinghamshire New University, which is seeking Facilities Management Services to ensure the continuous operation of its facilities. This process is currently categorised as an 'award', with key contracts for Security Manned Guarding services valued at £1.4 million and Building Cleaning, Grounds Maintenance, Pest Control and related services valued at £1.6 million. The services will be provided across multiple locations, including the Main Campus in High Wycombe and additional campuses in Uxbridge and Aylesbury. The notice was initiated on 1st July 2022, and a standstill period of 10 calendar days is applicable, expiring on 29th July 2022. This procurement is proceeding through a limited method, specifically an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition.

This tender represents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in facilities management, particularly in security and cleaning services, to establish or strengthen their market presence. Contractors with experience in providing comprehensive facilities management solutions or those focused on specific areas such as security and maintenance would be particularly well-suited to compete for these contracts. Given the temporary nature of these arrangements, suppliers could potentially secure longer-term engagements following a full tender exercise that the university intends to launch later, once its ongoing refurbishment project is completed.
