## Summary

The procurement process for "Lift door upgrades" is currently active, initiated by Ferguson Marine (Port Glasgow) Ltd, a company located in Port Glasgow, United Kingdom, and operating within the shipbuilding industry. This tender falls under the goods procurement category and is classified under CPV code 42417000, which relates to elevators and conveyors. The procurement method is open procedure, and documents must be submitted electronically by the deadline of 10th August 2022, after which the bid opening will also take place. The contract envisages an award period starting immediately post-deadline, encompassing a contract duration of 30 days.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in lift manufacturing and installation, particularly those capable of providing innovative and manufacturer-independent solutions. Companies experienced in shipbuilding and marine engineering are particularly well-suited to compete for this project, given the unique requirements for the integration of semi-watertight doors in passenger lifts. Businesses should prepare to engage with the buyer and demonstrate their capabilities in modernising and upgrading marine lift systems, ensuring timely and compliant submissions in line with the specified tender criteria.

## Notice

We have a potential problem in one of our ongoing passenger shipbuilding projects for integration of a semi-watertight door in a passenger lift due to ship stability requirements. Currently, the installation of the lifts has not started yet, but we want to upgrade our configuration by removing the existing shaft doors and fit a semi-watertight door instead.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

We have a potential problem in one of our ongoing passenger shipbuilding projects for integration of a semi-watertight door in a passenger lift due to ship stability requirements. Currently, the installation of the lifts has not started yet, but we want to upgrade our configuration by removing the existing shaft doors and fit a semi-watertight door instead. This new semi-watertight door will be a sliding door that is interlocked to the lift cabin doors so that it can only open when the lift is at that level. It is not possible to fit the new semi-watertight door inboard of the car deck bulkhead since there is insufficient clearance to the mezzanine deck ramps. In short, we are struggling with the original lift manufacturer's pace and reaction to our requests, we have seen your website and are interested in your "manufacturer-independent solutions" in terms of modernising/upgrading marine lifts. Would you be interested in such a project and go for detailed discussions?
