There is a county-wide selection to secondary school at 11+ and there are 13 grammar schools within the county, five of which are co-educational. Our intake is drawn from a very wide geographical area. The majority of students come from the Chiltern and South Bucks area of Buckinghamshire but we also have students who travel from Hertfordshire. At CGS, we aspire to provide an exceptional educational experience in a world class school. We aim to inspire, challenge and guide all our students so that they develop confidence, character and creativity with the skills to become the innovators and leaders of the future. Almost all of our students progress to their first choice university including Oxford and Cambridge. Our students will be the leaders of tomorrow and our aim is to ensure that they are well equipped for 21st century life. We want them to be confident, articulate and optimistic as well as respectful, tolerant and compassionate. Above all, we want them to be happy.
