## Summary

The Thames Valley Police are currently engaged in a planned tender for "Existing Software continuity or new software purchase," primarily within the IT services industry, specifically focusing on consulting, software development, and support. This procurement process relates to the maintenance and potential upgrade of the UK Criminal Information System, which facilitates the exchange of criminal records among EU member states post-BREXIT. Key activities are taking place at their headquarters in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, with an anticipated future notice date set for 17th August 2022, allowing interested parties to prepare their bids.

This tender presents significant opportunities for technology firms, particularly those specialising in information technology services, software development, and cloud solutions. Businesses that are familiar with the existing software from Trasys International or those that can offer innovative software development solutions tailored to public safety needs would be well-positioned to compete. Moreover, those capable of providing ongoing maintenance and support for software solutions in a cloud-first environment will likely find themselves at an advantage in this procurement process.
