The Contract is for the planned cyclical maintenance, responsive and urgent tree works to the Authority's trees in parks, highways, woodlands, and any other council sites. The majority of the work requirements to street and park trees is programmed by the Authority on a three-year cyclical, ward by ward basis. This ensures that appropriate tree maintenance works are routinely carried out, reducing disruption to traffic and allowing a structured approach to area based tree work. Responsive works, within parks, highways, woodlands and other council sites are generated on a monthly basis and are usually for one-off single site works. The contract will be for a five year period with up to a further three year contract extension subject to budget and performance.
