The current heavy maintenance requirements are a combination of mileage and time based events and it is proposed to align these into a weeklong single event for each unit. The heavy maintenance works will be carried out off-site at the Supplier's location. The Supplier will be responsible for vehicle movements between Reading Tran Care Depot and the Supplier's works facility. The Supplier must have a stringent in-house quality control system and a thorough competence management system.
