## Summary

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) required supplies of Dry Ice for the transport of blood products and frozen tissue products such as bone, tendons, and heart valves. This procurement process, initiated through a tender, was cancelled due to no compliant bids being received. The buying organisation, The Common Services Agency (also known as NHS National Services Scotland), used a limited procurement method with the procurement stage being marked as complete.

This tender offered opportunities for businesses to supply Dry Ice to meet critical healthcare needs. Companies dealing with gases and cold chain logistics would be well-suited to compete in this procurement process. The contract, now cancelled, aimed to ensure the continuous supply of Dry Ice for the safe transportation and storage of vital medical products. The tender process was targeted to suppliers with the necessary quality standards for delivering critical healthcare supplies.
