## Summary

The Southampton City Council is planning a procurement exercise for the Southampton Community Solutions Service Co-design in the services category. Hants & Isle of Wight ICB and Southampton City Council Community Solutions Service Co-Design and Market Engagement. Southampton City Council, in partnership with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board (ICB) is planning to reprocure a community solutions service which will provide the following two key areas of service provision 1. Community Navigation/social prescribing * Community Navigation/social prescribing focusing on target populations such as adult mental health & dementia * Development of an integrated prevention and early intervention offer which is aligned to Adult Social Care and Children's and Families first contact teams * Social Prescribing Network supporting the development of social prescribing practice and capability provided across health and social care services * Supporting the development to health population management approaches being adopted in the city * Publicly accessible community assets map, linked to Council and NHS websites * Patient access to their records thought the use of self-help Apps, to support behaviour change 2. Community Development * Through this work, and in working with relevant partners, to promote opportunities for volunteering and good neighbour initiatives * VSCE Representation infrastructure to support engagement at strategic and operational delivery boards and groups within the City and across the Integrated Care System * Further development of place-based giving schemes e.g. local lottery, social investment bonds and community tariffs for bundles of activity * Developing partnerships with local businesses to make best use of their expertise and resources to support the development of community solutions, in so doing aiding local businesses to undertake their corporate social responsibility in a meaningful way in our local economy. * To support organisations and communities to identify emerging and existing health and social care needs with a focus on addressing health inequalities that exist in the city * To support local health and social care providers to co-produce the design and development of services * Supporting new and existing not-for-profit organisations to successfully bid for external funds to promote health and wellbeing in the City * To support the city to develop social enterprise with a focus on growing and retaining income within local neighbourhoods * Providing a range of expertise to support the community and voluntary sector to develop and thrive, including supporting partnerships and consortium development. The Council is planning to develop the new service specification through a process of codesign with stakeholders from across the city, through the autumn of 2022/23, with a procurement exercise following in the spring of 2023. The Council is keen to engage with providers who can offer insight, learning and support from experience and knowledge, be that at local, regional, a national or international level.
