## Summary

The Ministry of Defence has awarded a three-and-a-half-year contract to Enterprise Services Defence and Security UK Limited for the In-Service Support of ASH. The contract, valued at £2.2m, involves the provision of safety critical information on UXO for the UK Armed Services. The procurement process was conducted through a negotiated method without public notice, with a contract period running from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2026.

This tender opportunity in the data services industry presents a specific need for companies with expertise in file security software, data security software, and other related technologies. The Ministry of Defence's emphasis on technical requirements limited the competition, resulting in the contract being awarded to a single economic operator. Businesses with a focus on defence services and software development may find significant growth opportunities in catering to the specialised needs of such contracts.
