## Summary

The Wakefield Council has recently completed an award process for the "16 + year old Leaving Care & Vulnerable Young People Accommodation & Support Purchasing System". This procurement opportunity falls under the main procurement category of services and is classified as "Welfare services for children and young people". The Council aimed to develop a Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System in Wakefield, Leeds, Barnsley, and Kirklees, allowing providers to offer high-quality placement arrangements for young people in need. The contract duration is initially set for 5 years, extendable for another 5 years.

This tender, issued by Wakefield Council, presents opportunities for service providers in the welfare services sector to participate in the delivery of accommodation and support for vulnerable young people. Businesses focusing on community-based services, accommodation providers, and support services for young people could find this tender particularly well-suited for their expertise. The procurement method used is an open procedure, offering a set period for submission, evaluation, and award, enabling eligible suppliers to compete for the opportunity.
