Lot 1

Call-off contract for two 2GW High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Voltage Sourced Converter Stations associated with the Western Isles HVDC Link Project. The Call-off will include HVDC system design and testing, Procurement and installation of HVDC equipment, Commissioning of HVDC system, Civil requirement specification and Design deliverables to allow civil interface design to be completed, and sequencing of works as required to align with civil Construction. The event excludes civil engineering and associated works.

Options: 2No. optional projects comprising 2No. VSCs and DC Switching Station at 525kV. In addition to the above defined projects, this procurement event will also allow, as a further option, for the delivery of any currently undefined projects which support a network for net zero targets. At SHET's sole discretion the installation of the High Voltage equipment and HVAC Cable system between HVDC Converter and AC Substations which may be excluded at any time.
