## Summary

Kent County Council is running a tender for the "Multiply Numeracy Project" to boost adult skills in maths for individuals without a GSCE at Grade 4 or equivalent. The project aims to enhance numeracy abilities for daily life, work, and employability prospects. Kent County Council, the largest local authority in England, with over £1bn annual expenditure, seeks suppliers through a Dynamic Purchasing System for services related to the project, under a light touch regime.

This opportunity by Kent County Council is tailored for businesses providing education and training services, particularly those offering numeracy programmes and financial literacy courses. The procurement stage is active, with a selective procurement method following a Restricted procedure. The tender deadline for the Dynamic Purchasing System is set for January 1, 2025, with a contract end date of March 31, 2025. Businesses interested in engaging with the Multiply Programme interventions should explore the tender documentation for further details and opportunities for growth through this public procurement contract.

It has an annual expenditure of over PS1bn on goods and services and a population of 1.6m. The Multiply Programme was announced by the Department for Education in April 2022 - being part of a range of initiatives that aim to boost adult skills. The programme is for 19+ adults who do not have a GSCE at Grade 4 (or equivalent) and aims to help people improve their ability to understand and use maths in daily life, home, and work - from household finances, to helping children with homework, to making more sense of the facts in the media and improving employability / job prospects. Full details of the Multiply programme can be found in the Multiply Investment Prospectus: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/multiply-funding-available-to-improvenumeracy-skills Kent County Council is looking to appoint Suppliers through a Dynamic Purchasing System, to provide this service. The DPS is for the procurement of social and other services referred to in Regulation 74 of the Public Contracts Regulations (2015) and as such, the intention is to use a light touch regime, rather than the full regime described in Regulation 34 (Dynamic Purchasing System).
