## Summary

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has awarded a contract under the Health Care Services Provider Selection Regulations 2023 for the supply of surgical consumables related to bone preparation and cement. Titled "TOS3 lot 1.8 Cement," this procurement falls within the goods category with a focus on bone reconstruction cements. The award was completed through a direct call-off from the Total Orthopaedic Solutions 3 framework, with the contract running from July 2025 until July 2029 in the UKH15 region. The procurement method was limited, justified by technical reasons that precluded competition. Summit Medical Limited is the supplier awarded under this contract.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for businesses operating within the surgical consumables and medical supply industries, especially those specialising in orthopaedics. Companies like Summit Medical Limited, which provide niche and technically specific solutions, are ideal contenders in similar tenders. Engaging in procurements such as this not only opens avenues for ongoing supply relationships with healthcare institutions but also allows businesses to solidify their market position in supplying specialised medical goods. The framework agreement approach with options for direct awards streamlines the procurement process, favouring companies with a strong technical profile and reputation in the industry.
