### Lot Information

Lot 1

Encompass will eventually manage every patient's, client's, and service-user's acute, social care or community care case in a data structure called an 'episode'. An episode may be open for days, weeks, or years. It represents all care and encounters/contacts to be managed by a key worker for a particular programme of care or service. Implementation of the solution covered by this agreement will allow encompass to migrate all currently-open cases/episodes for patients/service-users/clients across all social care and community care services. BSO will receive technical assistance from the vendor to facilitate data migration into encompass.

### Procurement Information

This service is only available from the existing solution provider. As the incumbent solution provider, only Yarra Software has the ability to provide the data and technical expertise to provide the data in the format currently presented to LCID implementations in Trusts. There is a requirement for encompass to mimic this functionality within Epic and alternatives do not exist with another provider to be able to provide the functionality of the LCID solution or existing LCID data. Yarra Software is the only solution provider in use for this specific purpose regionally and therefore this DAC is being justified for technical reasons under Regulation 32(2)(b) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as only the supplier of these facilities and ability to re-create the data migrations required to migrate with the encompass Epic solution.
