The programme recruits high calibre candidates who have a 2:2 degree and who already have experience of working with vulnerable children, young people or adults who want to train as social workers. The DfE have announced that they will fund a cohort 8 of the Step up to Social Work programme and the EMRP is seeking to contract a Higher Education Institution (HEI) to work with the East Midlands EMRP to deliver and quality assure a Cohort 8 Step Up to Social Work Programme to train students who will be attached to Local Authorities in the East Midlands Region.
