The development site is approximately rectangular in footprint having an area of 0.915 hectares. The development site will be an extension of the existing cemetery with access to the proposed new burial plots from only the existing cemetery by an extension of the current internal cemetery roadway. The Construction contract will involve site clearance and preparation to facilitate an earthworks exercise to develop the necessary finalised gradients and profiles for the burial plot layout. This is also require construction of sections of modular reinforced block retaining wall. The site will be served by construction of a new bitmac access road linked to the existing internal cemetery roadway. The Contract will require construction of pedestrian footways, steps, handrailing, kerbing, drainage and installation of reinforced concrete plinths for locating head stones. The site will be completed with new perimeter fencing and walls with internal landscaping features and reinstatement. The anticipated contract programme is 9 months.
