## Summary

The Oxfordshire County Council has completed the procurement process for the Community Network Service (Lot 1) and Urgent Community Link Service (Lot 2) for the provision of services to the community. The services aim to help people remain independent in their communities by facilitating access to information and advice, thus reducing the need for intensive health and social care services. The procurement involved awarding contracts to AGE UK Oxfordshire for both lots, with an active status. This opportunity was open for bidding with a cancellation status.

This public procurement opportunity by the Oxfordshire County Council presents a chance for businesses, especially those in the services sector, to engage in delivering services to enhance community well-being. The Council's focus on strengthening joint working with various sectors offers great potential for suppliers to contribute to the prevention agenda and build resilient communities. Businesses with expertise in community services and the delivery of information and advice would be well-suited to compete for these contracts and contribute to the local community's health and well-being.

## Notice

The key strategic direction for the Service is to facilitate the delivery of the Oxfordshire Way to help people remain independent in their communities. The provision of Information and Advice can help to avoid the need for care and support developing and is a key pillar in delivering the Oxfordshire Way. We want people in Oxfordshire to know where they can access the right information and advice to help them make good choices about the help they or their family might need. Through using a strengths-based way of working more people will be enabled to live at home independently and confidently for longer. This will reduce or delay the need for more intensive health and social care services. The Services will focus on creating a self-developing culture of information and advice and developing communities of practice to strengthen Oxfordshire resident's health and wellbeing. Oxfordshire would like to improve joint working with the Council, Health, and the Community and Voluntary Sector to strengthen the prevention agenda and build greater resilience in our communities.
