Currently, there is no provision for the data to be obtained in any other way and the data extraction does not involve trusts where there is a manual collection as the extraction is from GP practices of which there are 6,500. Each of these practices has a single supplier responsible for these extractions and are compelled to use one of the 3 suppliers who were awarded a place on to the GP IT Futures framework.
