## Summary

The Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust recently awarded a contract for the provision of haematopoietic stem cell processing storage and cellular therapy for clinical stem cell transplantation. This procurement falls under the services category and was conducted through a limited negotiated procurement process without publication of a contract notice. The procurement was driven by extreme urgency due to unforeseeable events, with the Trust selecting Biovault Technical Limited as the sole supplier capable of meeting the specific service requirements.

This tender by the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust opens up opportunities for businesses in the healthcare and medical laboratory services sector to provide specialised support in haematopoietic stem cell storage and cellular therapy. Companies with expertise in compliant laboratory services with relevant accreditations and high-quality standards would be well-suited to compete. As this tender involved extreme urgency and a single supplier, businesses capable of meeting strict regulatory and quality requirements within a short notice period stand to benefit from this procurement opportunity.
