### Procurement Information

UKRI have awarded this contract based on our requirement for an analyser that is able to measure the diffusion co-efficient of biomolecules, calculate hydrodynamic radius and measure monodispersion, aggregation and viscosity. UKRI required a system able to analyse biomolecules in complicated liquids like blood serum or cell lysates. No other suppliers offer equipment with the required functionality or sensitivity. UKRI awarded a contract to Fida Biosystems ApS as the only provider of equipment capable of meeting our requirements and considers that award of a contract without prior publication of a call for competition is justified under regulation 32(2)(b)(ii) of the PCR 2015 because competition is absent for technical reasons.
