This notice relates to the proposed award of contract for the supply of a spatial-omics system used to identify and quantitate RNA and proteins within biological samples. The system will be used within the Centre for Inflammation Research to enable the furthering of current research into a huge range of inflammatory diseases and cancers, how they develop, and how they might be targeted with new treatments.

Options: The University reserves the right to take up to two additional years of extended warranty, servicing and maintenance cover.

### Procurement Information

The system is being procured following the award of grant funding the terms of which required the products to be officially market-released at the time of the application. Having engaged with the market for these systems, it was confirmed that there was only one supplier capable of supplying the required product to support this research within the timescales available. That being the case, the Authority considers there to be sufficient grounds to award this contract to the supplier detailed on this notice.
