## Summary

The University of Sheffield's Translational Energy Research Centre (TERC) is procuring a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) pilot plant based on Fischer-Tropsch technology. The plant aims to produce 1.5+ L/h of sustainable aviation fuel to Jet A1 ASTM specification, meeting specific flash and freeze point requirements. The procurement consists of 4 lots, each comprising multiple modules, with lot descriptions detailing the required functionalities. The award has already been made to OXCCU Tech Ltd., indicating an opportunity for companies involved in sustainable fuel technologies.

This tender presents a growth opportunity for businesses specializing in zero-carbon energy, hydrogen, bioenergy, and Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS). Suitable businesses would have expertise in producing sustainable aviation fuel and operating within the energy research sector. The procurement method was an open procedure, allowing fair competition among potential suppliers. Key dates for this tender include the contract signing date of June 1, 2023, and the bid opening on January 20, 2023. The University of Sheffield, as the buyer organisation, can be contacted for further details about the tender process and requirements.

## Notice
