To fulfil the subject Contract, the chosen contractor will be exposed to and required to safeguard nationally sensitive information/data and equipment bearing a security classification up to and including SECRET UK EYES ONLY level. In view of this requirement, level of access and nationality restrictions involved, I can confirm that on national security grounds it would be contrary to UK interests to comply with the requirements of DSPCR. An exemption using Regulation 7(1)(a) of the DSPCR in conjunction with Regulation 6(3A)a is, therefore, endorsed.
