## Summary

The Environment Agency (Defra Network eTendering Portal) has modified its Asset Operation Maintenance and Response Framework to streamline its procurement approach for Lot 1 – Civil Engineering projects. The framework includes mechanical electrical instrumentation control and automation projects, vegetation management programmes, landscape and habitat creation implementation and establishment aftercare, and asset operation and incident response activities. This modification affects the lot description, removing the restriction of contracts above £1m to allow bundling for greater efficiency. The contract for Lot 1 was awarded to Cormac, a large supplier headquartered in Redruth, Cornwall, with an overall framework duration of 1080 days, starting from 4 March 2024.

## Notice

The Environment Agency have established a Framework Agreement that will be utilised for the following requirements: -
-Civil Engineering projects;
-Mechanical Electrical Instrumentation Control and Automation projects;
-Vegetation Management programmes;
-Landscape and Habitat Creation Implementation and Establishment Aftercare; and
-Asset Operation and Incident Response activities

The duration of the Framework is three years (36 months) with one optional one-year (12 month) extension (totalling fours years or 48 months).

The total estimated value of the Framework based on a four year (48 month) duration is between PS500,000,000.00 - PS600,000,000.00. 

The Environment Agency does not guarantee any level of work under this Framework Agreement.
