The overarching driver of the Service is to promote and encourage resilience and independence within Young People and strengthen positive parenting capacity within the family home and / or placement for carers. These young people will have experienced difficulties, which may be putting them at risk of family and / or placement breakdown and who are actively involved with the Western Health and Social Care Trust. Each Short Stay Break will consist of 4 days and 3 nights in a venue suitable for Short Stay Breaks which will provide a safe, structured and young person centred environment where nutritious meals are included. The provision of Indoor and Outdoor Activity sessions should help to strengthen relationship-based interventions whilst providing fun and positive social interactions.

The Western Health and Social Care Trust is conducting this procurement process to establish a Contract for the provision of a Short Stay Break Service, for Children and Young People from aged 7 years old up to and including 17 years old.
