## Summary

Southern Water Services Ltd. has launched a strategic procurement for its AMP8 Capital Programme Delivery, aiming to secure a range of supply chain partners for a substantial infrastructure project focusing on water and wastewater systems across Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight. This framework, titled "AMP 8 Framework- Capital Strategic Delivery Partners (SDP)," covers a regulatory period from April 2025 to March 2030, with potential extensions into AMP9. The procurement involves strategic planning, design, and construction management for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including sustainable, low-carbon solutions. The procurement follows the negotiated procedure with a prior call for competition, and it has reached the award stage with contracts signed as of November 2024. The programme's comprehensive nature marked by its £6.2 billion value indicates its significance in the sector, with major contractors like Costain Limited, Kier Integrated Services Limited, and MWH Treatment Limited participating as suppliers.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in civil engineering and construction, particularly those specialising in utility infrastructure. The framework allows for flexible engagement across different project scopes, from initial planning to full-scale construction and management, aligning with Southern Water's ambitious regulatory and service goals for the coming decade. Companies with expertise in water and wastewater treatment, pipelines, pumping stations, and environmental solutions are ideally suited to compete. Successful bidders will have the chance to partake in a long-term, high-value programme that not only enhances regional infrastructure but also ensures consistent workstreams and potential for substantial business growth. Key players in engineering consultancy, construction management, and integrated service delivery stand to benefit greatly from this extensive public procurement initiative.

## Notice

Southern Water Services (SWS) is anticipating that AMP8 will be the largest investment programme it has ever undertaken, given its plans for WINEP and WRMP, and the service it is seeking to deliver for customers. SWS now wishes to secure a range of supply chain partners for the delivery of its AMP8 capital programme. The AMP8 regulatory period will run from April 2025 to March 2030. The current frameworks used for engineering, design and construction services have been in place for almost 10 years and expire on 31st March 2025. In procuring new frameworks, we are seeking to build on positive changes made in AMP7, but also to look beyond AMP8 and take important steps to reflect supplier feedback, moving towards excellence in all that we do. The new arrangements will offer the option of running for AMP9. In parallel to this procurement process, Southern Water is working up its plans for PR24 - including working with our regulators and stakeholders to confirm the investment that will be available, and the capital delivery projects that will need to be undertaken. The PR24 process will benefit from having the AMP8 supply chain in place to assist with ongoing planning and transition to AMP8.
