The Contractor, as the UK Office of the Original Equipment Manufacturer for the Camera has the technical designs, tools, knowledge and know-how necessary to provide this specific Camera, the Authority does not own the rights authorising them to share the essential technical specifications that other economic providers require to redesign. The Authority's specific requirement and intended case requires an Ultra High Speed Camera capable of operating at 10 million frames per second over a 200 x 250 pixel resolution, be capable of recording "bright events" such as explosions, and be of a small enough size to be fully portable. The Authority considers that there are no reasonable alternative solutions commercially available that meets the Authority's requirements. This notice is not a request for expressions of interest so please do not apply to be invited to tender.
