## Summary

Procurement for Housing (PfH), a national procurement consortium serving the social housing sector, has established the PFH Fire Safety Works Framework. This framework, focusing on fire-prevention installation works (CPV 45343000), aims to enhance fire safety for social housing across the UK, including England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. The framework was awarded in December 2024 and is structured into seven lots, each targeting various fire safety requirements, such as active and passive works, fire doors, cladding, and whole building works. The procurement stage is complete, and the framework agreement will be active for three years with an option to extend for one additional year. The procurement method employed was an open procedure, ensuring transparency and competition among bidders.

This framework presents substantial opportunities for businesses, particularly those specialising in fire safety and related services, to expand their client base within the social housing sector. The framework's division into multiple lots allows specialised contractors and suppliers, including SMEs, to participate and secure contracts in areas such as fire alarm systems, sprinkler installations, fire door replacements, and building cladding. Companies that offer high-quality services at competitive prices are well-positioned to benefit from this framework, as the evaluation criteria heavily weigh on quality (60%) alongside price (40%). This initiative not only promotes fire safety across social housing but also supports business growth and market presence for companies involved.
