## Summary

The North of England Commissioning Support (NECS), on behalf of the NHS North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board, had initiated a procurement process for an Integrated GP Out of Hours Service in the South Tees locality of Tees Valley under the NHS Standard Contract. The contract, initially planned for 3 years starting from 01 October 2023, with a potential 24-month extension, has been abandoned due to the unexpected early funding received by the Contracting Authorities in the financial year 2023/24 to secure premises for the service. Thus, the procurement process has been terminated, and future plans for procurement will be considered. The procurement stage for this tender was 'Award,' with the procurement method being an open procedure.

Businesses interested in health and social work services may find opportunities in future procurements related to the Integrated Urgent Care Treatment and Out of Hours service model in the Middlesbrough, Redcar, and Cleveland areas. Although the current tender has been abandoned, the Contracting Authorities encourage participation in upcoming opportunities. Eligible parties can register on the Atamis e-tendering system for notifications on future tenders and procurement activities. The buying organisation, the NHS North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board, remains a key authority for healthcare-related procurement activities in the localities of Middlesbrough, Redcar, and Cleveland.
