## Summary

The Defra Network eTendering Portal, a Ministry, has recently completed a procurement process for the research and development services related to cardiovascular and metabolic impacts from environmental noise exposure. The project, titled "Cardiovascular and Metabolic Impacts from Environmental Noise Exposure," falls under the services classification and was completed in London, UK. The procurement method used was a limited procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The contracting authority initiated the tender, and the award has been made to the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) based in the Netherlands. The contract, worth £211,590.68 GBP, was signed on February 20, 2023.

This tender for research and development services related to environmental noise exposure presents business growth opportunities for organisations specializing in research and consultancy services. The tender specifically focuses on evaluating the impacts of transport noise sources on cardiovascular and metabolic health. Businesses with expertise in public health research and data analysis would be well-suited to compete for this contract. The procurement stage has now advanced to the award phase, with the contract awarded to RIVM due to the absence of competition for technical reasons. Interested businesses should review the detailed requirements and prepare to demonstrate their capabilities in providing the required services.
