## Summary

Leidos Supply Limited has completed the procurement process for the "Supply of Extreme Cold Weather (ECW) Gloves," aimed primarily at defence requirements. The procurement relates to the supply and delivery of gloves, a category within the goods industry, with delivery locations specified within the UK. This procurement has progressed to the award stage, with contracts signed for dual suppliers — Martin Magnusson AB (Hestra) and OK Hungarian Gloves KV —both designated to provide the said gloves. The contracts were awarded through a negotiated procedure without the prior publication of a contract notice due to unforeseeable events and in conformity with the relevant directive, as stated by the Public Contract Regulation 32. The award has resulted in a substantial increase in contract value, totalling £7,200,000 across both agreements, signed on 6th March 2026, for delivery under a framework agreement established in February 2025, lasting for four years.

This tender offers significant business opportunities, particularly for small and medium enterprises specialising in the manufacture and supply of specialty gloves suited for extreme cold weather conditions. The procurement strategy aims to swiftly fulfil essential defence supply needs driven by urgent demand unforeseen by the organisation. Businesses with expertise in technical glove designs adhering to strict specifications would stand to benefit from engaging with governmental contracts of this nature, given the requisite alignment with technical requirements and urgent delivery schedules. The dual supply award highlights the potential for growth and partnership with entities such as Leidos Supply Limited to support defence operations, ensuring a competitive edge in supplying high-quality defence materials under stipulated agreements.
