## Notice

The purpose of the local Healthwatch service is to empower citizens and communities by giving them a stronger voice to influence and challenge how health, social care and public health services are provided within their locality with the aim of improving the quality of services, the public's experiences and outcomes. This is achieved by Healthwatch gathering evidence from the views and experiences of patients, service users, those who would benefit from services and support but haven't engaged with them, and the general public about their local health, social care and public health services, providing feedback and recommendations for change based on that evidence, along with good practice and other evidence (e.g., guidance, research, etc.), and influencing, challenging, and holding local stakeholders to account to achieve that change. A local Healthwatch service ensures the views and feedback of the public are an integral part of local commissioning across health, social care and public health.
