## Summary

The Wakefield Council has awarded a contract for Resettlement Support, aimed at providing victims of domestic abuse and their children with support as they transition from Marie House Refuge. The procurement falls under the Health services classification and is a limited procurement method. The contract value is £143,649.94, and the contract was signed on 29th March 2023.

This tender by the Wakefield Council presents an opportunity for businesses in the services sector, particularly those specializing in health services and supporting vulnerable populations. Businesses with experience in delivering specialist support for victims of domestic abuse and their families, as well as expertise in managing tenancy transitions and providing emotional and practical support, would be well-suited to compete for this contract.

The level of support provided to each person/ family will be on a needs led basis. Riverside will work with victims and their children and offer emotional support, listening support and practical support. For people who complete resettlement support prior to the end of the end of the project, they will receive a time limited 'keep in touch service' which will be on a needs led basis. Riverside will also include keep in touch support for victims and their children who are on the waiting list for Marie House Refuge accommodation, such as signposting onto local domestic abuse services in their area of residence and signposting to local housing authorities.
