## Summary

The Mining Remediation Authority has issued a contract for Wireline Geophysical Logging Services, a crucial requirement in the services sector of the mining industry. Located in Nottinghamshire, the Authority is undertaking the extension of a framework agreement initially set for two years from December 2023, now prolonged to run until November 2027, effectively making it 3 years and 11 months in total. The framework addresses the logging service needs across various UK regions including UKC, UKD, UKE, and more. Key suppliers, such as Igne and others, are involved, reflecting the active award status. This extension is necessary due to unforeseen delays in site selection for geologging surveys and intends to effectively utilise half the framework's originally expected value.

The tender offers a significant growth opportunity for businesses involved in logging services, particularly those experienced in geophysical surveys for mining applications. SMEs, like the contracted suppliers Igne, European Geophysical Services Ltd, and others, are well-suited given the open procurement method that considers criteria beyond price, such as availability and technical capability. The extended timeframe offers substantial opportunities for continued and increased participation in providing services across numerous regions in the UK. Businesses ready to compete must meet performance expectations detailed in the tender documents, positioning them for long-term collaboration with the Mining Remediation Authority.

## Notice

The Coal Authority invites you to tender for the provision of wireline geophysical logging services for the Authority in a range of mine shafts and boreholes across the UK on a two year framework agreement with terms based on the Authority's services contract.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

This Framework was established to provide Wireline Geophysical logging services to the Mining Remediation Authority. There is no change to the nature or value of the framework. Due to unexpected delays in the selection of sites which require Geologging surveys this framework has only discharged half of the value which was originally expected. We are extending this framework for 1 year and 11 months to bring the total duration to 3 years and 11 months.
